Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is a non-invasive method of electrical stimulation of the brain using a weak direct current applied to the scalp through electrodes. Aim of the stimulation is to increase spontaneous neuronal activity at left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC).
